About Attorney Cooper
Christian Cooper (read testimonials) graduated with honors from the University of Southern California in 1998 with a degree in Spanish and international relations. He received his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and now practices consumer bankruptcy law in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. His focus is guiding consumers through difficult financial times.
Prior to going into private practice in bankruptcy law in Southern California, Christian worked for a consumer bankruptcy firm serving Northern California. He was also involved in San Francisco politics, acting as treasurer for a candidate for the Board of Supervisors. Christian also practiced law with a top San Francisco litigator, appearing in courts throughout the Bay Area.
After graduating from Loyola, he accepted a research fellowship at the Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law. While there, he conducted a multilingual study of HIV discrimination in dental care in Los Angeles County, and compiled data from throughout the country on employment discrimination based on sexual orientation.
While at Loyola, Christian clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office, the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, Lambda Legal, and the HIV & AIDS Legal Services Alliance.
Prior to attending law school, he produced and edited on-air features and websites for two nationally syndicated public radio programs, was involved in the launch of Univision.com (now the top-rated Spanish-language website in the country) and was a writer and editor for the Recording Academy, which produces the Grammy Awards and Latin Grammys.
Christian works and lives in Long Beach, California.
